Donating an Office Chair in Wellesley, MA
Check an office chair’s wheels, lift, upholstery and recipient requirements before planning a Wellesley donation pickup.

A working office chair still needs the right recipient
Task chairs, desk chairs and executive chairs have different sizes and mechanisms. Describe yours accurately rather than grouping it under “office furniture.” Check whether the chair stays at its chosen height, rolls predictably and has stable arms and a sound base. Disclose faults; do not attempt risky repairs to make it appear ready.
What to photograph and record
- A full view, seat and backrest, including upholstery wear.
- The base, casters and adjustment controls.
- Brand or model label if present, and any missing parts.
- Quantity and whether chairs match; count each chair separately.
Check the office-furniture policy first
Do not assume a furniture program accepts workplace seating. Household Goods specifically excludes office chairs in its published guidelines. Ask other potential recipients directly about your model and condition.

Build a clear pickup list
Choose “Office chair” in the pickup selector and list any small or large desks separately. Note whether collection is from a home office or a workplace with loading restrictions. For an item that cannot be placed, compare other routes before arranging transport.
