Washing Machine Donation in Wellesley, MA: Review & Pickup
Planning to donate a washing machine in Wellesley? Model, dimensions and operating history, leaks, faults and missing parts and recipient acceptance are the starting points.
Published October 20, 2026 · Wellesley Donation Pickup · Our editorial approach
Describe the actual washing machine
A working washer still needs individual recipient approval. Record the brand, model, dimensions and type, such as front-loading or top-loading. State its known age if you have reliable records; do not estimate an exact year from appearance alone.
Condition details worth sharing
Describe leaks, unusual noises, error codes and any missing parts. Include model-label and exterior photographs without moving the machine unsafely. Ask the recipient about its appliance requirements and the transporter about the preparation it expects.
Prepare for the right route
Arrange appropriate disconnection and preparation before collection. Do not assume a crew will disconnect plumbing or perform appliance service. Identify stairs, laundry-room turns and any stacked installation. If reuse is unsuitable, consult Wellesley’s official appliance program rather than the town Reusables Area.
Your review checklist
- Model, dimensions and operating history
- Leaks, faults and missing parts
- Disconnection and stacked-installation plan
- Recipient acceptance and any transport charges confirmed.
