A practical Wellesley donation worksheet
Headboard donation planner
A headboard on its own may not fit another person’s frame. Record the intended bed size, actual width and height, attachment style and any matching footboard or rails. Include the distance between mounting points if the recipient asks for it.

Before recipient review
Show the front, back and attachment hardware. Describe upholstery wear, loose trim, damaged holes or missing brackets. For a wall-mounted piece, explain how it is installed; do not assume a standard furniture pickup includes removing it from the building.
Prepare only as agreed
Confirm whether the recipient wants the headboard alone or only as part of a complete bed. Keep relevant hardware and instructions together after agreed removal. Measure tight doorways and stair landings because a wide headboard may remain one large piece even when the bed frame separates.
