A practical Wellesley donation worksheet
Refrigerator donation planner
Give the make, model, overall dimensions and known age, including an attached ice or water system. A compact fridge, full-size refrigerator and refrigerator-freezer combination have different recipient and handling needs. Do not assume an appliance is accepted because it still cools.

Before recipient review
Describe temperature problems, leaks, damaged seals, missing drawers and faulty controls. Photograph the interior and model label once it is safe to do so. Empty personal contents and ask the recipient about preparation; the reviewer should understand any operating uncertainty.
Prepare only as agreed
Confirm who handles water connections, preparation and transport. Do not attempt refrigerant work or improvised dismantling. Measure the route, including door openings and stair turns, without moving the appliance to test it. If donation is not an option, use the official local appliance guidance for current disposal arrangements.
