A practical Wellesley donation worksheet
Small desk donation planner
Compact desks can be easier to place, but a small footprint does not establish acceptance. Record the width, depth and height, including a raised back or storage shelf. Say whether it is a writing desk, student desk or computer desk, and whether a chair is included.

Before recipient review
Check the work surface, legs and drawer runners. Mention peeling veneer, swelling around joints and missing feet. A desk that wobbles or has a damaged support needs an honest description before a recipient can decide whether it is useful.
Prepare only as agreed
Empty drawers and remove personal papers, cable ties and equipment. Photograph the desk assembled, including its underside where visible without lifting it. Do not take it apart until the transport plan is agreed; a compact desk may be more useful to the recipient assembled.
