Recliner Donation in Wellesley, MA: What to Check
Prepare a manual or power recliner for donation review with mechanism, upholstery and access details.

Describe the mechanism, not just the fabric
State whether yours is a manual recliner, power recliner, lift chair or reclining loveseat. Describe how it operates and disclose sticking controls, unstable movement, exposed wiring or missing power supplies. An attractive cover does not resolve a mechanical fault.
Show the whole chair
Photograph the seat, back, sides, controls and maker’s label. Note tears, stains, odors and pet exposure. Explain whether the chair is one piece or has a removable back; let the reviewer confirm appropriate handling rather than taking it apart speculatively.
Allow for weight and tight turns
Include dimensions, floor, stairs and the narrowest doorway. Powered and lift mechanisms may affect handling. Do not test a difficult carry yourself. Confirm the recipient’s policy for powered seating and who is responsible for preparation.
Keep the request specific
Select the closest recliner item and add any mechanism details in the optional notes. For multiple pieces, see sectional planning. For ordinary seating, use the chair guide.
Put your plan together.
