How to Donate a Sectional Sofa in Wellesley, MA
Count sectional components, measure the layout and explain upholstery and access before planning a donation pickup.

One sofa can be several handling pieces
Describe the full layout: chaise, corner, armless seat, recliner, ottoman or sleeper section. Count the components in your notes and say which pieces connect. Include the overall assembled dimensions and the largest individual component. A recipient needs enough space for the complete layout.
Be clear about upholstery and completeness
Show every seat and back, the connecting hardware and any damaged areas. Keep cushions and removable feet with the matching sections. Disclose stains, tears, odors, pet exposure and mechanism faults. Do not leave upholstery outdoors while waiting for review.
Explain the route out
A sectional may come apart but still have one oversized piece. Include doorway and landing constraints, stairs and elevator reservations. Ask who will separate and reconnect components. Keep any agreed hardware together.
Confirm the actual destination
Large upholstered pieces can be difficult to place. Obtain approval for the particular sectional rather than relying on a general “sofas accepted” statement. Use the photo checklist and compare transport questions before booking.
